CHICOPEE, Mass. - The City of Chicopee unveils a plan for a nearly $40 million development at a four-acre Facemate lot along the Chicopee river.
The plan includes a 102-unit residential building, a 54,000 sq. foot multi-sports facility, and a 10,000 sq. foot restaurant, brewery and office space at the former Baskin warehouse.

Lottery Opens for Affordable Senior Houses in Flatbush
A housing lottery for 58 affordable senior apartments in Flatbush has opened to those earning $45,500 a year or less, 6sqft reports. The apartments are at the Bishop Philius and Helene Nicolas Senior Residences located at 1488 New York Avenue. The seven-story building has 89 studio apartments for seniors, and includes a 10,575-square-foot community facility space that will be used as a senior center run by the NYC Department of Aging and the Evangelical Christian Crusade.
Lottery opens for 58 affordable senior apartments near Brooklyn College in Flatbush
A housing lottery has launched this week for 58 affordable apartments for senior New Yorkers at a new Brooklyn rental. Located at 1488 New York Avenue, the Bishop Philius and Helene Nicolas Senior Residences rises seven stories and contains 89 studio apartments and social services for residents. To apply, New Yorkers must have at least one household member who is 62 years of age or older, qualify for Section 8 benefits, and earn $45,500 or less, annually. Eligible applicants will pay 30 percent of their income for the studio apartments.
East Flatbush Apartments For Seniors Open To Applicants
Designed by Rodney Leon Architects and Heritage Architecture, the seven-story, 89-unit development was built by Brisa Builders and BEL Community Housing Associates, The Haitian Times has reported. Some units are reserved for formerly homeless seniors, said Ericka Keller, chief executive officer of Brisa Builders.

The 219-unit mixed-use development comes from Brisa Builders Corporation, an affordable housing company, and will stand nine stories tall at 13-38 Central Avenue. It will include 219 residential units across about 132,000 square feet, and it will feature 12,000 square feet of commercial space and 51,000 square feet of community space as well.
