Brookdale Hospital Medical Center Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit Upgrades 5th and 6th Floor Aaron Building

The One Brooklyn Health System is the sponsor of a 15-million-dollar full demolition, abatement, and construction project which consists of a full build-out of two floors of the Inpatient Behavioral Health unit on the 5th & 6th floors of the Aaron building at Brookdale Hospital & Medical Center. Local Brooklyn businesses continue to play a critical role in the economic health of the local community. In recognition of the economic activity and community support in doing business in Brooklyn, contractors locally based in Brooklyn were strongly considered in the fulfillment of the requirements of the contract. Turner and Brisa Builders Corp. formed a joint venture to respond to the RFP issued by One Brooklyn Health and were awarded in 2021.

Brisa Builders Corp. joint venture with Turner Construction includes providing both the Superintendent and Asst. Superintendent to oversee the project which commenced on 8/20/21 and is scheduled for a substantial completion date of March 2022 including DOH approvals and clinical activations.
