Brownsville Will Get Nearly 900 New Affordable Apartments

Nearly 900 affordable homes are set to be built over three separate sites in Brownsville, Brooklyn, the city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development announced on Thursday. All three projects will rise on city-owned land and be open to New Yorkers with a range of incomes. Each of these developments will also address critical needs in the neighborhood like economic development, arts and culture, and health.
